I am married to Jay and we have 2 beautiful children; Jason (22) and Mallory (20). We are currently entering the empty nest years. Our home is always busy with the family, friends and pets. We have a large extended family in the area and spend a great deal of time with them. Family roots are very important to us. Jay and I were born and raised in De Kalb IL. We spend a lot of time following local sports and are involved in many community activities.
My professional career for the past 18 years has been first and foremost customer service driven. I am by considered by past employers as ambitious and well organized with an eye for detail I have worked in a Non for Profit Day Care and was responsible for getting the center on line with computerized billing and reporting.
I worked for a local law office and was the lead receptionist and in charge of billing the clients for services of the firm.
I was also the Office Manger of an agricultural mapping company. My responsibilities included running the day to day office operations including payroll, accounts payable and receivable.
How does all this experience make me qualified to perform drug and alcohol tests, teach others how to do it and manage the drug testing program (Third Party Administrator) of companies who employee hundreds of people in multiple locations? Let me tell you…. It is all about the CUSTOMER. I, along with my staff, take pride in providing a service to clients with dignity to the donor while maintaining the integrity of the donor.
My career in drug testing started in 2000. I achieved Certified Professional Collector Trainer status in 2000. This is a title that is awarded to individuals meeting the requirements established by DATIA. In 2004 I completed training for Alternative Specimen Collections and I am qualified to train other collectors on specimen collections like; Point of Care testing (rapid tests), hair, saliva, and sweat patch. I must complete a test yearly to maintain my credentials. I and my staff are qualified to perform Department of Transportation tests and Non Regulated (Company mandated) testing.
I am active in DATIA. I have attended the annual conferences and am a member in the Standards and Ethics committee. A major focus of this committee is the proper training of collectors. I believe that proper training is the key to performing an error free drug /alcohol collection. I personally adhere to continuous quality improvement through the application of DATIA standards and have an interest in continuous self education and self- improvement,
I am a Breath Alcohol Technician Trainer on 3 different EBTs. I am trained and am qualified to train others to perform Department of Transportation Breath Alcohol tests on the 3 most popular machines.
The biggest professional accomplishment since opening my business in Jan of 2007 is achieving the status of “Accredited Collection Site” by DATIA within 3 months of opening. This recognition is awarded to collection sites that demonstrate excellence in collection, policies and procedures.
